Effective October 3, 2026
1. Who we are
This policy is from TruHint Digital LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("TruHint", "we", "us" or "our"). We build, host and look after websites for small businesses, and offer SEO, Google Maps, AI search, web app and AI training services. It explains how we handle personal information when you visit truhint.com, use our chat, fill in a form, contact us or become a client.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers truhint.com and the pages on it, our chat assistant, our forms, and the emails, calls and texts we exchange with you. It also covers information we receive while working with our clients.
It does not cover the websites we build for our clients. Each of those businesses decides how it uses information from its own visitors and is responsible for its own privacy notice. Section 12 explains our role when we host a client's website.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Free preview and quote forms: your name, email address, phone number, business name, the plan or service you pick, how you would like to pay, your message, and a record that you agreed to be contacted, with the date and time.
- Emails, calls and texts: what you tell us when you contact us, and our replies.
- Client project information: details about your business, text, photos, logos, licenses, prices, hours, reviews and any other content you send us, plus the access you give us to accounts such as your domain, Google Business Profile or business email.
- Billing information: your billing name, email, business address and payment details. Card and bank details are entered with our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store full card or bank account numbers.
Information from the chat assistant
When you use the chat, the questions you type are sent to our server to answer them. Common questions get a ready-made answer. Others are answered by an AI model run by our hosting provider, which also receives the recent messages in that conversation so the reply makes sense. Your conversation is kept in your own browser for that tab and is cleared when you close it. We do not save chat transcripts on our servers, and our AI provider does not use them to train its models. Please do not type passwords, payment details or health information into the chat.
Information collected automatically
- Server and security logs: like most websites, our hosting and security provider records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to keep the site running, measure performance and block attacks and spam.
- Fonts: our pages load fonts from Fontshare, which receives your IP address and browser details in order to send the font files.
- Browser storage: the site saves a few small settings in your own browser: whether you chose light or dark mode, whether you closed the offer banner, and your chat conversation for that tab. They stay on your device and are not used to track you.
Cookies and analytics
truhint.com does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking. We do not currently use an analytics tool on this site. If we add one, we will update this policy before we do.
Information from others
We may receive information about your business from public sources, such as your existing website, your Google Business Profile, map listings and reviews, when you ask us to review or improve how your business shows up online. If someone refers you to us, they may give us your name and contact details.
4. How we use information
- To reply to you, prepare your free homepage preview and give you a quote.
- To build, launch, host, update and support your website and the other services you order.
- To bill you, collect payments and keep business and tax records.
- To send service messages, such as approvals, reports, renewal notices and security alerts.
- To send occasional news or offers by email if you are a client or have asked for them. You can opt out at any time.
- To keep our site, systems and clients secure, and to prevent spam, fraud and misuse.
- To improve our website, services and the answers our chat gives.
- To meet legal obligations and to enforce our agreements.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Calls and text messages
If you tick the box on our form, you agree that TruHint may contact you by phone, text or email about your request. Texts are about your request or project. They are not marketing. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything from us. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your consent with anyone for their own marketing.
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run our business, under contracts that limit how they use it: website hosting and security, the AI model behind the chat, email delivery, payment processing (Stripe), business email and file storage, scheduling, and the contractors who help us deliver your project. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
- Platforms you ask us to work with on your behalf, such as domain registrars, Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Microsoft, booking tools or a hosting company you choose.
- For legal reasons: when required by law, court order or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of TruHint, our clients or others.
- Business transfers: if TruHint is sold, merged or reorganized, information may pass to the new owner, who must keep this policy's protections.
- With your permission: in any other case, only when you ask or agree.
7. How long we keep it
- Requests that do not become a project: up to 2 years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for as long as you are a client, then up to 7 years for tax, accounting and legal reasons.
- Server and security logs: for a short period, usually days or weeks, unless needed to investigate an attack or misuse.
- Chat: in your browser only, until you close the tab.
- Backups: backup copies are deleted on a rolling schedule.
We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to settle a dispute.
8. How we protect it
All pages and forms use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our websites run without WordPress, plugins or a public database, behind a security network that filters attacks. Access to client information and accounts is limited to people who need it for the work, protected by strong passwords and two-step sign-in where available, and removed when no longer needed. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a legal or contract reason;
- stop sending you marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link or email us) or texts (reply STOP).
Residents of some US states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and Oregon, have rights under their state privacy laws, such as the right to know, correct, delete and get a copy of their data, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising and profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request.
To make a request, email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. You can use an authorized agent, who must show us your written permission. We reply within 45 days. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we will respond to the appeal within 45 days. We will never charge you more, or treat you differently, for using these rights.
10. Children
Our site and services are for businesses and adults. They are not meant for children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Visitors outside the United States
TruHint is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than where you live. We take steps to protect it as this policy describes.
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Canada, we use your information to take steps you ask for before a contract and to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business, to meet legal obligations, and with your consent where needed (for example, texts and marketing emails). You may withdraw consent, object to some uses, ask us to limit how we use your information, and complain to your local data protection authority.
12. Websites we build and host for clients
When we build or host a website for a client, the client decides what information its website collects and how it is used. We handle that information only on the client's behalf, to provide our services. For example, messages sent through a client's contact form are forwarded to that client. We do not sell this information or use it for our own marketing. If you have a question about a client's website, contact that business first. If you contact us, we will pass your request on and help them answer it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell clients by email before it takes effect.
